國家科學及技術委員會「臺灣─史丹佛人文社會科學領域人才培育計畫」（Stanford-Taiwan Social Science Fellowship Program；以下簡稱STSS）係由國家實驗研究院科技政策研究與資訊中心負責執行，與美國史丹佛大學（Stanford University）行為科學高等研究中心（Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, CASBS，網址：casbs.stanford.edu ）共同合作，旨為促進國內人文社會科學領域研究之卓越化，以提升國內人文社會科學高階學術研究人才。

史丹佛大學行為科學高等研究中心（CASBS）設有多項國際訪問學者計畫，歷來邀請經濟學、政治學、社會學等不同領域之各國頂尖學者進行跨國訪問研究，其中不乏諾貝爾獎、普立茲獎、麥克阿瑟獎得主。

Stanford-Taiwan Social Science Fellowship Program
The Stanford-Taiwan Social Science Fellowship Program (STSS) sponsored by the National Science and Technology Council is implemented by the Science & Technology Policy Research and Information Center, National Applied Research Laboratories in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS), Stanford University, (casbs.stanford.edu). The objective of this program is to optimize the performance of domestic research on humanities and social sciences, thereby enhancing the abilities of talented academic researchers in the fields of humanities and social sciences in Taiwan.

CASBS has a number of international visiting scholars programs. Numerous outstanding scholars from various fields including economics, politics, and sociology have been invited as visiting scholars, and some of whom are winners of the Nobel Prize, Pulitzer Prize, and MacArthur Fellows Program.
