Team Introduction

With the main mission of supporting the government in S&T policy planning, the Policy Research Division seeks to provide timely responses to pressing issues as a service using S&T policies as evidence. In particular, the Division plans and discusses the implementation measures of policies, analyzes the social-economic influence of S&T projects and policies, and conducts research on the planning and development of science parks and industrial clusters. To improve the quality of S&T policy research, the Division has continued to strengthen its core competencies. It has also provided comprehensive and systematic support for the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in formulating national S&T policies, developing policy implementation measures, and evaluating the performance of S&T development. The Division has also participated in important S&T decision-making events, such as the National Science and Technology Conference, National Science and Technology Development Plan, Science and Technology Development Strategic Blueprint (formerly known as White Paper on Science and Technology), and Science and Technology Advisory Meeting.
